India doesn't ask to be understood - it asks to be waited for. Ten years, on and off, and I never went looking for India; I went back to it. Each trip picked up where the last one left off, though the light, the decade, the version of me holding the camera had all changed.
What stayed the same was the waiting. You don't arrange India. You stand still long enough and the frame arrives on its own.
